About Dr. Stuart Pardee

Dr. Pardee was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. As a little boy he used to watch the jet airplanes in the sky and dreamed of being a pilot. That dream was reinforced when at 7 years old his dad took him to a movie about the Air Force. In 1955, when he was 9 years old, he saw a spread in National Geographic magazine about building the United States Air Force Academy and decided that was where he would go to college. A three sport athlete in high school, he was named the outstanding student-athlete of his graduating class, and received a Congressional appointment to the Air Force Academy.

He graduated from the Academy in 1968, and immediately entered pilot training. In the summer of 1969, just days before graduating from pilot training, he piloted an Air Force T-38 supersonic trainer to 51,000 feet above the state of Florida. From that vantage point he could see Apollo 11 on the launch pad at Cape Kennedy, ready to launch Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins to the moon. It was a memory he has never forgotten.

From 1969 until 1976 Dr. Pardee served as an Air Force pilot, flying 370 combat missions in the Viet Nam war.

He left the Air Force in June of 1976. A year later he met his wife Veronica. They were married in February of 1978.

He entered chiropractic college in October of 1979, graduating on Memorial Day 1983. Two days after graduation he and Veronica packed their bags and traveled to Gardnerville, Nevada. A week later, June 8th, 1983, they opened their practice of chiropractic in Gardnerville. They moved their practice to its present location in Minden in 1995

Dr. Pardee is best known for his treatment of cervicogenic (meaning "originating from the neck") headaches, and neck pain. Since 1986 he has traveled the country, studying under some of the best neck specialists in the chiropractic profession. Patients tell him that in the Carson Valley he is known as the "Neck Doctor".

Dr. Pardee and Veronica raised two children in the Carson Valley. Since 1983 Dr. Pardee has been an active member of the community. He has coached basketball, softball, and soccer, has been a long time member, and Past President, of the Minden Rotary Club, and he and his family are long-time parishioners of St. Gall's Catholic Church.

Dr. Pardee is happiest when he is designing and building something. Combining his skills as a builder and his skills as a pilot, he has built and flown two airplanes.

Dr. Pardee designed and built his current office building in 1995. Since 2001 Dr. Pardee has been voted "Best Chiropractor in the Carson Valley" by the readers of the Record Courier fifteen years.

Dr. Pardee authored the book Skip Pardee's 10 Principles for a Healthier and Happier Life. Published in 2012, it is available for purchase in Dr. Pardee's office, or on Amazon.com.
